Daily Prayer for Lent
God be in my head - and in my understanding

God be in my eyes - and in my looking
God be in my mouth - and in my speaking
God be in my heart - and in my thinking
God be at my end - and at my departing

Prayer from Sarum Rite (1527) Hymnal 1982 - #694

Grace Episcopal Church has been actively involved with the greater Boone community since 1889.

We celebrate our Sunday services in-person and on Zoom at 9:30 AM. Holy Eucharist is celebrated every Sunday!

About Our Church
feeding the people

Welcome to Grace

Everything you need to participate in the worship in this service leaflet. Hymn members refer to pages in the blue 1983 Hymnal in your pew.

Communion is offered to anyone who wishes to receive it. Simply come forward to the altar and extend your hands, one resting in the other and the priest will place a host into it. You may choose to intent (that is dip the host in the wine, being careful not to dip your fingers into the wine) or drink directly from the chalice offered by the acolyte. It is also entirely valid communion to take the host.

If you do not wish to take communion, please consider coming forward with your hands crossed on your chest, it would be our privilege to place a blessing on you this morning.

Please stay for coffee hour - we have the best coffee in Boone - through the lobby and downstairs immediately after church. We would love to get to know you.

Easter Season is the reason we have Christianity!! The Anglican Episcopal theology rests on the three legged stool of - Scripture-Reason-Tradition. You will hear each Sunday the lessons from the Bible with a reflection from the Priest or Deacon or Lay Leader. Many sermons are a guide for us to use in our weekly interactions with others.

Contemplative Prayer is an ancient form of worship to be closer to the Living God.

Practicing being quiet and listening to the Spirit can bring a sense of awareness of God.

These practices have been used by many different religions as a form of worship.

We are inviting you to a Holy Lent and to reflect on your own personal journey to seek and know God.

Peace be with you

We are a caring family of faith that is supportive of            all people.

Feeding the hungry, helping the poor and loving our              neighbor

We are in the time of the Epiphany and the Sundays after the actual Epiphany of the Magi. We will be reading the Scriputure that tell the stories of Jesus' miracles of water into wine, new wineskins and how women were all part of the story. God is good and we are part of the glorious story of the glory of God.

What We Believe

As Episcopalians, we believe in and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection saved the world.

We believe that God loves you – no exceptions.

The Episcopal Church embraces a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being; people of all genders and sexual orientations serve as bishops, priests, and deacons in our church. Laypeople and clergy work together in leadership and governance.
